About Kappa Delta Pi...

|
What is Kappa Delta Pi? Kappa Delta Pi is the international honor society in education. The organization consists of professionals and students who exhibit outstanding leadership, service, and scholarship. For over 71 years, the Delta Iota Chapter of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette has initiated outstanding students and teachers in the College of Education and has grown with them to offer resources, professional development, and service to our communities in order to promote the integrity of education and its practitioners. Founded in 1904, and established as a national organization in 1924, only 10% of graduate and undergraduate students of the College of Education are invited to become members. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette joined the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society on May 8, 1936, deeming us as the Delta Iota Chapter. The Delta Iota Chapter is one of 640 chapters in the United States, and one of 13 chapters in the state of Louisiana. Kappa Delta Pi and the Delta Iota Chapter welcome you and invite you to be a part of our continued quest for excellence in education.
